Privacy

ScriptMate is designed to keep most of your work on your own device. Carlos Montenegro, based in Amsterdam, is responsible for the personal information described below. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to carlos.montenegrovela@gmail.com.

Your scripts and preferences

Scripts you paste or import, along with your rehearsal settings and progress, are stored in your browser's local storage. They are not sent to Carlos or to a ScriptMate server during normal use. Deleting browser data or removing scripts in the app removes that local copy.

PDF imports

PDF text is processed in your browser. ScriptMate loads the PDF.js software from the Cloudflare cdnjs service, so that provider may receive basic request information such as your IP address and browser details, but it does not receive the PDF from ScriptMate.

Temporary sharing

If you choose “Create temporary link,” the selected script is uploaded to Supabase so another person can download it. The link and uploaded script automatically expire and are deleted after 7 days. Only use this feature if you are allowed to share the script and avoid including unnecessary personal information.

Feedback and technical data

If you send feedback, Netlify processes your rating, optional message, and optional email. We use it to improve ScriptMate and reply if requested, and normally delete it within 12 months after it is resolved. Netlify also hosts the site and may process IP address, device, browser, request, security, and aggregate traffic information. A service worker stores app files on your device so ScriptMate can work offline.

Legal bases and sharing

We process information to provide features you request and for our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving ScriptMate. We do not sell personal information. It is shared only with the service providers described above, when required by law, or with your permission. Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area using recognised safeguards.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive personal information we control, object to certain uses, or withdraw consent. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
